Certification according to ISO 9001:2015 (certificate IQNet) (certificate SQS)
The ISO 9001 certificate is the internationally valid basis of quality management systems. All processes in a company are structured, monitored and documented. An important aspect thereof is continuous improvement in the sense of customer satisfaction. The maintenance of the quality standards is controlled by annual third-party audits.

Accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 (certificate) (attachment)
Accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 confirms our competence in the procedures listed in the certificate. Our institute is accredited for all relevant sampling methods in the field of contaminated sites (soil, soil gas, groundwater), waste and construction materials. Here Germany’s National Accreditation Body, the DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle) also performs audits in 1.5 year schedules.

BAM/OFD-H Recognition for the Investigation of Federal Real Estate (certificate)
This recognition by the Federal Institute for Mineral Research and Testing (Bundeanstalt für Materialprüfung, BAM) and the Upper Finance Directorate in Hannover (Oberfinanzdirektion Hannover, OFD-H) can be awarded as further accreditation for professional competence in investigating Federal Real Estate, for example military installations.

Examination Center according to § 18 BBodSchG (certificate) (Annex list of methods)
Bavaria issued a “Regulation on experts and examination centers for the protection of the soil and treatment of contaminated sites in Bavaria (VSU Boden und Altlasten)” for the implementation of the Federal Soil Protection Act (Bundesbodenschutzgesetz). This applies to experts (see below) and to examination centers for both sampling and laboratory analyses. Since 2002, public contracts in the field of contaminated sites may only be awarded to specifically authorized people or companies. The basis for the authorization as an examination center for sampling is an accreditation or a specialized audit by the Bavarian State Environmental Agency (Bayerische Landesamt für Umwelt, LfU). Our institute is certified for the testing categories 1.1, 2.1 and 3.1 (sampling and on-site testing of solids, eluates and percolates, aqueous media, soil air/landfill gas).

Authorized Experts on Contaminations according to § 18 BBodSchG, Mr. Schillinger (certificate), Mr. Struller (certificate)
In addition to our authorization as an examination center for sampling, numerous of our staff members are certified as authorized experts on contaminations according to § 18 BBodSchG (Federal Soil Protection Act). They cover the following special fields:
SG 1 („extensive and site-specific and historical surveys”)
SG 2 “(risk assessment for the pathway soil – groundwater”)
SG 5 (“remediation”)
The accreditation is granted by the Bavarian Environmental Agency (LfU) after a verification of references and a thorough oral examination.
Mr. Schillinger is moreover a member of the board of examiners for the authorization of experts in the specialist field SG2.

Testing laboratory according to LaborV (Notification document) (Annex list of methods)
In accordance with the Bavarian Water Act (Bayerisches Wassergesetz) of 25. February 2010, Bavaria issued an “Ordinance on the approval of testing laboratories for water analysis in Bavaria (Laborverordnung / LaborV)” on 22. November 2010. This ordinance distinguishes 10 fields in which an approval is possible for testing laboratories. The basis for the authorization as a testing laboratory is a notification by the Bavarian State Environmental Agency (Bayerische Landesamt für Umwelt, LfU). Our institute is authorized for the examination of ground and surface water according to field 1 of the Laboratory Ordinance.

Contaminated Site Coordinators according to DGUV rule 101-004 (formerly BGR 128) “Contaminated Areas”
All members of our staff have the expertise according to DGUV rule 101-004 (formerly BGR 128) (Occupational Safety Regulations – Contaminated Areas). They may perform remediation work in areas where contaminants occur and professionally plan and supervise such tasks as regards occupational safety, immission control and environmental protection. TRGS 524 (“Technical regulations for hazardous substances, protection measures and work within contaminated areas”) is an update of DGUV rule 101-004. The expertise according to DGUV rule 101-004 includes that covered in TRGS 524.
