Description

In an approx. 2.5 km long section of the B 173 federal road south-west of Schwarzenbach am Wald, steep slopes and rocky embankments at the edge of the road represented potential danger zones for road users. The hazardous situation was assessed by an expert on the basis of site investigations and suitable safety measures were designed. The construction of interlinking, rockfall protection and wire fencing increased the safety of road users against geohazards such as rockfall and rockslides along the heavily frequented section of road.
