Environmental Due Diligence

Successful property transactions always weigh up the investment risk but also the claim risk. Otherwise, the new owner can easily be held liable for environmental damage caused by the previous owner. An EDD examines all value-relevant environmental aspects of a property. Depending on the depth of processing, this is done on the basis of documents, as part of a site visit with inspection of files and interviews or in the form of a technical investigation (drilling, sampling, laboratory analyses).
