Das Bild zeigt die Innenansicht eines zylindrischen Rohrs oder Schachts, das in Richtung einer hellen Öffnung fotografiert wurde. Die Oberfläche des Rohrs wirkt rau und leicht verschmutzt, mit Kratzspuren und kleinen Ablagerungen. Am Ende des Rohrs ist ein heller Lichtpunkt zu sehen, der den Ausgang markiert und für starken Kontrast sorgt.

Visual well inspection / functional checks

In accordance with DVGW W 121, Chapter 8, visual evidence of the construction (position of the filter sections, tightness of the connections) and the condition is required when constructing groundwater measuring points so that the functionality of the well is documented. Water quality can only be reliably assured if the well has been professionally installed.

Groundwater measuring points in operation must be checked for proper functioning every 5 to 10 years (LfU leaflet 3.8/6).

Whether a groundwater monitoring well is functioning properly requires different analyses:

Recognising the settlement of the measuring point by calibrating with differential GPS.
Regular depth check
Carry out a pump test to recognise possible changes in hydraulic conductivity.
Refill attempt
Inspection of the measuring point using a well camera
