Rock stabilisation Meihern

Rock stabilisation work had to be carried out on the Flügelsberg in Meihern. The breeding den of a peregrine falcon is located in the area of the network on the rock, while an extensive limestone grassland extends below the rock. Both the bird of prey and the biotope are protected by law. Measures were therefore necessary to protect them. The measures were planned in consultation with the rock stabilisation department, the client, the nature conservation authority and other project participants. Subsequently, the implementation was accompanied in an advisory capacity during the work. Finally, a monitoring system was set up for the peregrine falcon's breeding cave in order to observe its use after the rock stabilisation work had been completed.
