Before and after each use, our specially trained rope access technicians critically inspect the condition of the personal fall protection equipment. After all, when working at heights, safety depends significantly on the condition of the climbing gear. This includes much more than just a rope: harnesses, carabiners, pulleys, and clamps, as well as various auxiliary tools, must not only be carried up the mountain and used correctly but also handled with care.
Once a year, LGA Institute for Environmental Geology and Contaminated Sites GmbH inspects all of its climbing equipment to ensure it is in perfect condition. If any equipment does not meet the strict inspection criteria, it is discarded and replaced with new gear.
To obtain or maintain their qualification, colleagues Simone Pflaum and Joschka Wischer successfully participated in the "Expert Training according to DGUV 312-906" at the Krah GmbH training center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on November 5th and 6th, 2024.
We are pleased with the consistent and meticulous performance of Simone Pflaum, who has been inspecting the fall protection equipment in the company for six years. We are also delighted to welcome Joschka Wischer as another colleague in the team of experts certified according to DGUV 312-906.
