The careful handling of soil has been a legal requirement since the revised Federal Soil Protection Ordinance came into force in August 2023. For sensitive soils and areas larger than 3,000 m², a soil protection plan should be developed and implemented.
In the fall of 2024, Simon Hauenstein and Corinna Schillinger from LGA Institute for Environmental Geology and Contaminated Sites GmbH attended the certification course for Soil Science Construction Supervision at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. By passing the theoretical and practical exams, they demonstrated their competence in the field of preventive soil protection and field soil science. Our newly certified soil science construction supervisors are now listed with the Federal Soil Association and look forward to developing soil protection plans for our clients.
