Description

The inspection of the safety structures on the west-facing rock massif revealed that the rockfall protection fence at the base of the wall and the rock nails in the rock face needed to be replaced. In addition, it was recommended that the heavily fissured dolomite rock below the viewing platform be networked and that the existing fall protection at the rock stop be upgraded. The Flügelberg is part of numerous conservation areas that are important under nature conservation law. Consequently, the rock stabilisation measures were subject to considerable nature conservation requirements. Their implementation was monitored as part of an ecological construction supervision programme.
