The rock team is growing – as is the number of rope access technicians performing rock inspections, as well as structural safety checks and assessments for LGA, all carried out via rope access.
From June 2 to June 6, 2025, Lars Scharfe and Tobias Gebhard completed their Level 1 rope access technician training at the training facility in Mitterfels. The course was led by Christoph Rieser from the Association of German Mountain and Ski Guides (VDBS).
The training program included activities such as rappelling and ascending ropes (vertical movement), rope-to-rope transfers, passing anchor points, setting up and using pulley systems, various rescue scenarios for recovering an injured person, knot techniques, and theoretical sessions on topics such as equipment knowledge and fall physics. The course concluded with both a written and practical examination, administered by state-certified mountain and ski guide Andreas Schanzer (VDBS)."
With a team of six certified rope access technicians (Level 1/2) and a strong network of Level 3 professionals, we are now even more capable of executing complex rope-access projects involving rock assessments and the inspection of protective structures.
